The President of the United States, Joe Biden, condemned the large-scale missile and drone attack by Russia against Ukraine on November 28 and assured continued defensive support for our country.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing a statement from the U.S. President on the White House website.
Biden described the attack as "outrageous" and noted that it "serves as another reminder of the urgency and importance of supporting the Ukrainian people in their defense against Russian aggression."
He expressed support for our country and reminded that earlier this year, at his direction, "the United States began prioritizing the export of air defense systems to ensure they arrive in Ukraine first."
"As a result of this decision, the Department of Defense has delivered hundreds of additional air defense missiles to Ukraine, and further shipments are ongoing. For several months, my Administration has been working to assist Ukraine in enhancing the resilience of its energy grid in preparation for winter, and the Department of Defense continues to provide Ukraine with other critical capabilities, including artillery, missiles, and armored vehicles," the White House statement noted.
Biden also highlighted that "Russia continues to underestimate the bravery, resilience, and determination of the Ukrainian people." He added that "the United States, along with more than 50 countries, stands with Ukraine in its fight for freedom."
On the morning of Thursday, November 28, Russian terrorists launched yet another massive assault on our country using strike drones and cruise missiles.
In total, the aggressor's military fired nearly 190 drones and missiles at Ukraine.
Specifically, about 30 "Caliber" missiles were launched from the Black Sea, around 60 X-101 missiles, and 97 strike drones.
There were 12 hits recorded on fuel and energy infrastructure.
As a result of the attack, residential infrastructure and vehicles were damaged in 14 regions of the country. Hundreds of thousands of people were left without power supply.
