Kellogg referred to Zelensky as a "determined and courageous leader of a wartime nation."

The U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, stated that he had "extensive and positive discussions" with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

"It was a long and intense day with Ukraine's top leadership. Great and positive discussions with Zelensky, a determined and courageous leader of a wartime country, and his talented national security team," – wrote Kellogg on social media platform X.

The day before, Kellogg visited Kyiv, where he first met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, followed by a meeting with Zelensky.

However, Kellogg did not make any statements afterward, and his press conference following the talks with Zelensky was canceled.

According to media reports, the American side requested the cancellation of the press conference.

After his meeting with Kellogg, Zelensky posted on social media that Kyiv is ready for a "strong, truly beneficial agreement" with the U.S. regarding investments and security. This likely pertains to a U.S. agreement with Ukraine concerning mineral resources.

Earlier, as reported by the media, the agreement stipulated that Ukraine would hand over 50% of all its mineral resources to the United States without receiving anything in return, not even security guarantees. Zelensky refused to sign it, sending the document back to the U.S. for "revision."
