The Ministry of Defense has launched its own production of codified FPV drones. The production commenced in December of last year at a state enterprise. The project is being implemented under a trilateral agreement with a private developer who provided a license for UAV production.
This was reported by the ministry's press service.
It is noted that the products will be directed to the units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. After refining the production technology and scaling it up, the state enterprise will be able to independently participate in tenders from the Defense Procurement Agency and other potential clients.
“Thanks to the state's integration into production chains, we have gained a clear understanding of the cost of drone production and our competitive advantages in this market. This will enhance the quality of the final products due to sustainable competition,” said First Deputy Defense Minister Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk.
According to the report, the Ministry of Defense has already developed a roadmap for organizing similar productions with other drone developers.
