The Russian dictator Vladimir Putin aims to thwart the efforts of newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump to establish peace. To this end, he has utilized the "Nutcracker."
As reported by RBK-Ukraine, this was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky in an evening address.
Zelensky noted that during his visit to Kazakhstan, Putin once again promoted his missiles and his readiness to kill and destroy. According to the Ukrainian president, Putin does not want the war to end. Furthermore, he aims to prevent others from bringing the war to a conclusion.
"Waving his 'Nutcracker' now he can only do to sabotage President Trump's efforts, which will definitely come after the inauguration. Putin wants to escalate the situation now so that President Trump fails to end the war. Putin is the sole culprit of this war and the only one who believes in it," Zelensky stated.
Previously, Donald Trump claimed that he could end the war between Russia and Ukraine in a single day. According to media reports, one of the points in Trump's "peace plan" might involve the transfer of some Ukrainian territories.
Subsequently, British publications reported that there is allegedly a new version of Trump's plan, which includes the establishment of a buffer zone between the countries, to be protected by European troops.
However, one of Trump's advisors stated that the return of Crimea to Ukraine is already "unrealistic." Nevertheless, the office of the elected president denied this information.
