В Ростовской области произошел пожар на нефтебазе "Атлас" в результате удара беспилотников.

In the Rostov region, explosions were heard last night, November 29, amid an airstrike involving drones and the operation of air defense systems. A fire broke out at the "Atlas" oil depot near the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing Telegram from the acting governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, as well as Russian media.

The Russian official claimed that thirty drones were allegedly destroyed and neutralized by electronic warfare during the defense against a "massive air attack".

At the same time, a representative of the Rostov regional authorities stated that there were "consequences on the ground".

According to him, in the village of Masalovka in the Kamensky district, the roof of a private house was damaged, but there were no casualties.

"In the village of Dyachkino in the Tarasovsky district, the glazing of a residential house was damaged due to falling debris," he said, adding that there were also no injuries there.

However, the acting governor did not provide any details about the fire at the oil depot. Nevertheless, numerous images of the fire at the oil facility have been circulated on local social media and Russian news outlets.

Russian media reported that a large fire at the "Atlas" oil depot near the city of Kamensk is particularly visible to motorists on the M-4 highway.

Updated: Local authorities confirm the fire

Later, the acting governor of the Rostov region stated that a "large fire at an industrial facility is being extinguished" in the Kamensky district.

"A total of 109 people and 38 units of equipment are involved," the official added.

Not the first drone attack on the "Atlas" oil depot

Recall that this oil depot was previously targeted by a drone strike on August 28. At that time, a large fire also occurred, with serious damage reported to fuel tanks.

Note: The "Atlas" oil depot in the Rostov region is part of the Russian military-industrial complex, providing fuel supplies for the Russian army. This facility plays a crucial role in the military logistics of the Russian Federation, and in August 2020, joint exercises of the Ministry of Defense of Russia and the Reserve Forces took place at the depot as part of the "Caucasus-2020" drills.

Additionally, the strike on the "Atlas" oil depot in the Rostov region near the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky at the end of August was a result of the work of Ukrainian military intelligence.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also confirmed that on the night of August 28, Ukrainian forces struck two Russian oil depots. One of the strikes was on the "Atlas" in the Rostov region.
