7,997 companies have joined the "White Business Club." However, among the participants, there are enterprises linked to sanctioned individuals.
This was reported by Opendatabot.
At the onset of the full-scale invasion, 24 companies in the club had Russian owners. Currently, there is no official trace of Russian ownership in any of these businesses. Although there is a moratorium in Ukraine on changing registration details for companies with Russian owners, there are a few clearly defined exceptions in the law.
Analysts have identified enterprises connected to sanctioned individuals through joint business ventures. For instance, two companies belong to the Kozak brothers' group, whose owners are linked to Viktor Medvedchuk's group. The list also includes businesses associated with Alef Corporation, owned by sanctioned Vadim Yermolaev, and Burisma Group, whose owner is listed in the Corruption Register.
Two businesses from Yuriy Boyko's group have also made it into the "club" – he was sanctioned following the publication of the list.
In total, 3,300 or 42% of the companies in the "White Business Club" earn between 10 and 100 million UAH annually. Another 177, or 2.2%, have over 1 billion UAH in revenue. 208 participants of the "club" did not submit their reports to the State Statistics Service for 2023, making it impossible to assess their financial performance at this time.
Almost a quarter of the representatives of white businesses are registered in the capital – 1,927 companies. Another 10% or 794 companies are in Dnipropetrovsk region. The Kyiv region accounts for 7% or 594 companies.
16% or 1,275 companies operate in wholesale trade. Agriculture comes in second with 1,120 businesses (14%). Real estate is managed by 675 companies (8.4%), while 359 companies (4.5%) are involved in house and territory maintenance. The medical sector rounds out the top five with 312 companies (3.9%).
