The Russian Federation and Belarus have signed a treaty on mutual security guarantees between the two countries within the framework of the Union State. Additionally, Vladimir Putin announced the potential deployment of the new "Oreshnik" missile on the territory of the neighboring country.
This was reported by BelTA.
Lukashenko stated that he is allegedly concerned about the situation on Belarus's western borders and in neighboring Ukraine.
“I want to publicly ask you to deploy new weapon systems, primarily the 'Oreshnik', on Belarusian territory. This would calm some minds,” the Belarusian dictator said to Putin.
Putin, for his part, promised that these requests would be fulfilled.
“The deployment of such complexes is possible. This will become feasible in the second half of 2025,” the dictator stated.
He added that the targets for the "Oreshnik" from Belarus will be determined by the military-political leadership of Minsk against the “likely adversary.”
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that by waving the "Oreshnik", Putin aims to undermine Trump's efforts to end the war. According to Zelensky, Putin has been “advertising” “his readiness to kill and destroy.”
