The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised Ukrainians to refrain from traveling to Syria due to the deteriorating security situation in the country.
This was reported by the press service of the diplomatic agency.
“The Embassy of Ukraine in Lebanon strongly recommends that Ukrainian citizens avoid any travel to Syria until the security situation stabilizes, and those who are currently in the country should leave its territory,” the statement reads.
For citizens who have decided to extend their stay in Syria, the embassy advises avoiding crowded places, refraining from participating in rallies or demonstrations, strictly adhering to safety measures and the rules for foreigners in the country, not leaving their place of residence without urgent necessity, always carrying identification documents, and considering the possibility of shortening their stay in the country.
