On the night of January 23, Russian forces shelled Zaporizhzhia. Four missile strikes were carried out, resulting in the death of a 47-year-old man and injuring 16 others.
This was reported in Telegram by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
Among the injured is a two-month-old infant who has been hospitalized. Two employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were also affected. Their condition has been assessed by doctors as moderate. Additionally, five people are in serious condition, the official clarified.
“As a result of the strike, residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia were damaged. Windows were shattered and roofs were destroyed by the blast wave,” Fedorov wrote.
A video of the destroyed building hit by a Russian missile was published by the head of the Zaporizhzhia OVA.
