Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone conversation with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson. They discussed, among other things, a shared vision for security guarantees for Ukraine from Europe.
This was reported by the head of state on Telegram.
"I had a good conversation with Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson and thanked him for Sweden's military assistance and all the support for Ukraine. We are looking forward to the 18th package of defense aid," Zelensky wrote.
He also informed the Swedish Prime Minister about a constructive meeting with the U.S. President's Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, and shared details of recent discussions with foreign leaders.
"We must be absolutely clear: nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine, nothing about Europe without Europe. We are working on a shared vision for security guarantees. The decision must be ready before any possible negotiations begin, and Europe must be at the negotiating table," the president emphasized.
Zelensky stressed that Ukraine needs a just and lasting peace, not just a temporary ceasefire.
