The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, discussed the reasons behind the transfer of certain servicemen to infantry roles. He assured that this does not apply to highly skilled personnel in the Air Force who are responsible for aircraft maintenance.
In an interview with Andrii Tsapliienko, Syrskyi explained that his order prohibiting the transfer of specialists with the appropriate training is in effect.
These are professionals who have undergone significant training investments and possess unique experience that is virtually irreplaceable. At the same time, there is an acute need to replenish mechanized brigades at the front, which mobilization resources do not fully cover, Syrskyi noted.
According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are reasonably reducing logistical units and some support functions while maintaining priority for key specialists.
The staff clearly understands the tasks at hand and conducts relevant calculations. In case of issues arising from the transfer of those prohibited from being sent to the front, we respond promptly to avoid such situations, the Commander-in-Chief emphasized.
