Спикер Палаты представителей Джонсон: «Нет желания» принимать новые пакеты помощи Украине.

Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Mike Johnson stated that there is no "desire" to pass a new aid package for Ukraine while speaking at a Republican conference in Washington on February 20, as reported by Reuters.

"There is no desire for this," Johnson said when asked by an audience member about the possibility of another funding bill for Ukraine, prompting noise and shouts from the crowd.

He added that he does not foresee additional aid if the war continues for a few more months.

"We need to bring this war to an end. And I can tell you that our European allies also understand this necessity. It has dragged on for too long," Johnson stated.

"It's time to put an end to this, and he [Trump] is that rough force; I think he can do it," he remarked.

Johnson dismissed President Volodymyr Zelensky's call to include Ukraine in negotiations, labeling it as "whining."

"I mean what Trump is trying to do is... create conditions for real negotiations, and we need to let him do what he is doing," Johnson added.

On February 17, Zelensky stated that Ukraine would not recognize any agreements regarding Ukraine made without its participation.

On February 19, Trump referred to Zelensky as a "dictator" and questioned his democratic legitimacy.
