Украина импортирует до 800 млн кубометров газа из Европы из-за вражеских атак, сообщает Reuters.

Ukraine plans to import up to 800 million cubic meters of gas from Europe in February and March to offset a 40% decrease in production due to Russian missile strikes.

This is reported by Reuters.

The publication's analysts noted that Russia has recently intensified its attacks on Ukrainian gas fields. "Naftogaz" and DTEK have stated that Russia has attacked and damaged their facilities at least twice this month.

Before the hostile attacks, Ukraine was extracting about 52 million cubic meters of gas per day, while during winter, the daily consumption ranged from 110 million to 140 million cubic meters. The gas deficit was mitigated through reserves in gas storage facilities, added Reuters.

A source from the publication and representatives of Ukraine's energy sector are currently not disclosing the current level of gas production.

According to Reuters, Ukraine has low gas reserves in storage but, with the planned imports and domestic production, will be able to complete the heating season without risks for industry and households.
