The Ukrainian women's national handball team began its journey at the European Championship, which is being held across three countries (Hungary, Austria, and Switzerland), with a loss against the Germans.
The "Yellow-Blues" are playing their matches in the Austrian city of Innsbruck.
Right from the start of the match, Germany managed to score three consecutive goals and seize a lead that they never relinquished. By the end of the first half, their advantage had only increased, and the girls went into halftime with a score of 15:9.
In the second half, the situation did not improve significantly. At one point, the Germans even scored eight consecutive goals, extending their lead to 15 goals. By the end of the match, the Ukrainians were able to slightly reduce that gap, but it did not affect the overall result.
