According to analysts from EastFruit, white cabbage is currently being sold for 32–38 UAH/kg, which is on average 10% cheaper than at the end of the previous working week.
This information is mentioned in a report by the EastFruit project.
Analysts from the project shared that farmers, who had previously refrained from selling in anticipation of further price increases, have begun to sell off their existing stock due to the rapid deterioration in the quality of cabbage in storage.
At the same time, farms with stocks of quality products are not rushing to sell, as they are confident that demand for cabbage will pick up closer to the end of the current month, EastFruit added.
Despite the price drop, white cabbage in Ukraine is currently being sold at an average of 4.5 times higher than during the same period last year.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that imported tomatoes have become cheaper in Ukraine. Last week, prices for Turkish tomatoes decreased by 14%.
