In 2024, Ukraine saw the registration of over 1,000 new companies with foreign ownership.

In 2024, Ukraine registered 1,109 new companies with foreign owners, representing a decrease of 24.2% compared to 2023.

This information is reported by "Opendatabot," referencing data from the Unified State Register.

Compared to 2021, the number of such businesses has fallen by 60%.

In 2024, citizens from 78 countries established businesses in Ukraine. The highest number of companies were registered by citizens from:

• Turkey – 201 companies;
• Poland – 90 companies;
• the USA – 89 companies.

Foreign companies are most commonly active in the following sectors:

• wholesale trade – 255 companies (23%);
• computer programming – 109 companies (9.8%);
• real estate operations – 86 companies (7.8%).

The largest number of new foreign companies was registered in Kyiv – 542 (48.9%). Lviv region ranks second with 137 companies (12.4%). The third place goes to Odesa region with 122 companies (11%).

The leader in terms of authorized capital is the company LLC "DVL UKR" from Kyiv, owned by a citizen of France. Its authorized capital amounts to 1.18 billion UAH. Also in the top three by capital are:

• LLC "TRADE SOLUTIONS" – 456.7 million UAH (citizen of the Czech Republic);
• LLC "DK KYIV OUTLET" – 335.6 million UAH (citizen of the Czech Republic).

Despite the decrease in the number of foreign companies, the overall level of entrepreneurial activity in Ukraine has increased. In the first half of 2024, over 13,000 new companies and nearly 148,500 individual entrepreneurs (FOPs) were registered. These figures surpass those from the first half of 2023, when 12,500 companies and 134,000 FOPs were registered.
