The United Kingdom has an opportunity to play a pivotal role in strengthening Ukraine, paving the way for the establishment of a new, resilient European security system. This was stated by the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, during a roundtable discussion at Chatham House focused on Ukrainian issues, as reported by the Presidential Office.
Yermak emphasized that the United Kingdom is a leader in shaping a just and secure global order. He urged British partners to continue training Ukrainian brigades and to intensify sanctions against Russia.
“The overall plan for victory is more than just strategies or agreements. It is a shared responsibility. Ukraine has proven that it is ready to be a reliable partner. We are fighting not only for our land but for the future of the entire democratic world. Together, we can end this war and build a world that people will believe in. A world based on justice, the rule of law, and true leadership,” Yermak remarked.
The head of the Presidential Office underscored the necessity of establishing new frameworks for European security. According to him, Ukraine proposes deeper integration into the European security system, which would be beneficial for both Britain and all of Europe.
“We propose a deeper integration of Ukraine into European security. This means strengthening the role of the United Kingdom. It means strengthening all of Europe. It means that we all need to work together to create a new resilient system,” Andriy Yermak concluded.
