In Postal Square in Kyiv, the sculptures of the city's founding children – Kyi, Shchek, Khoriv, and their sister Lybid – have been traditionally dressed up for Christmas and New Year.
The decorations were created by artist Vladimir Zhuravel.
The children were dressed in bright national Ukrainian costumes, while Shchek's outfit was unique. The costumes were sewn by the sculptor's wife, and the patches on Shchek's military uniform are from the units where the artist's brothers serve.
