The Ukrainian Ground Forces confirmed a Russian strike on one of their training grounds, resulting in casualties among military personnel.

A thorough investigation is currently underway to establish all the circumstances surrounding the incident, commented the Commander of the Ground Forces, Mikhail Drapaty, regarding Russia's strike on the training ground.
Сухопутные войска ВСУ сообщили о российском ударе по полигону, в результате которого есть погибшие и пострадавшие военнослужащие.

The Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mikhail Drapaty, confirmed the occurrence of a Russian strike on a training ground where Ukrainian military personnel were present. It is likely referring to the "Novomoskovsky" training ground near the village of Cherkasskoye in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as reported by media and Ukrainian military personnel on social networks.

The missile strike took place on March 1, targeting one of the Ground Forces units. There are casualties and injuries, though the exact numbers remain unknown.

"The tragedy at the training ground is a terrible consequence of the enemy's strike. War demands swift decisions, accountability, and new safety standards; otherwise, we risk losing more than we have," Drapaty wrote on social media.

He added that an investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy is underway. The military law enforcement service and authorities have been provided with all necessary information to ensure maximum transparency in the investigation.

"I awaited the initial data to avoid being unfounded, and now I must warn: everyone who made decisions that day, and everyone who failed to act in a timely manner, will be held accountable. No one will escape behind explanations or formal reports," the commander emphasized.

Drapaty noted that we are witnessing "untimely decisions and lessons unlearned," urging generals, officers, sergeants, and soldiers of the Ground Forces to rid themselves of formalism, bureaucracy, and thoughtlessness.

"I will demand the strictest punishment for those who, throughout the years of war, continue to perform their duties carelessly and formally, for those who 'drag' military personnel into outdated procedures, neglecting their safety, and for those who assert themselves not in battle but by oppressing subordinates – all of them bring shame to the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the Commander of the Ground Forces added.
