The Lithuanian Migration Department recognized 598 Belarusians and 125 Russians as a threat to the national security of the country last year.

Calculations also indicate that in 2024, 179 of the 598 Belarusians identified as threats were not issued temporary residence permits in Lithuania, and 232 did not have their permits extended.

The Migration Department revoked residence permits for 175 Belarusian citizens. Additionally, three Belarusians were not granted permanent residence permits in Lithuania, and nine were stripped of their permits.

Last year, 35 out of 125 Russians were not issued temporary residence permits in Lithuania, while 36 did not have their permits extended. Furthermore, 24 Russians had their previously obtained temporary residence permits revoked.

Lithuania denied permanent residence permits to 16 Russians for the first time. All these individuals are banned from entering the country.
