Ukrainians can apply for unemployment benefits through the Diia portal. This was reminded by the Donetsk regional state administration.
With the "Obtaining Unemployment Status" service on the Diia Portal, you can receive or update this status, as well as apply for unemployment benefits.
Step-by-step instructions:
Visit the "Diia" Portal and log in using your electronic signature or BankID;
Find the service "Pensions, Benefits, and Allowances," and then select "Obtaining Unemployment Status."
Fill out the application by answering the questions in the form;
Choose a convenient employment center for you, regardless of your registered place of residence or stay;
Enter your social account number and select the frequency of payments;
Upload scanned copies of the required documents (passport, document of your last employment, educational documents, and others);
Check the accuracy of the information filled out in the applications for obtaining unemployment status and for the assignment of unemployment benefits, and sign them with your electronic signature (qualified electronic signature).
You can also apply for unemployment status and unemployment benefits through other means, specifically:
The "Diia Portal" mobile application
Electronic job seeker’s cabinet
The "State Employment Service" mobile application (available on the App Store and Google Play)
A personal visit to the employment center.
The decision to grant unemployment status is made on the day the application is submitted, while the decision on the assignment of benefits is made the following day.
The amount of unemployment benefits depends on the insurance experience, the reason for the termination of employment, and the amount of salary (income, monetary allowance) received before dismissal.
