In the Cherkasy region, alerts for drone attacks will now be issued separately for each district.

The Cherkasy region has revamped its system for alerting the population about the threat of missile attacks or drone incursions. This was announced by the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Igor Taburets.

“Taking into account the frequency and duration of air alerts in our region and to ensure the uninterrupted operation of enterprises, institutions, and organizations, we are launching a pilot project in the region starting today. We have previously worked out all the algorithms with relevant services and the military,” he noted.

In particular, in case of danger from enemy drones, there will be a differentiation by districts.

The "air alert" signal will be received by a specific district of the region where a target is detected or there is a potential threat, particularly from the operation of air defense systems.

In the case of a missile threat, there will be no changes. This means that an air alert will be simultaneously declared across the entire region.
