A cat was rescued in Kyiv after being trapped in an apartment without food and water for almost a week. The pet's owner was taken to the TCC. This was reported by the organization "ZooPatrol UA".
According to animal rights activists, the man informed the TCC representatives that a cat was left at home. However, they did not allow him to pass the keys to acquaintances for the animal's release.
The cat was alone in the apartment for six days.
Neighbors noted that at first, the cat was meowing loudly, but then it stopped. This raised concerns among those who cared, prompting them to call the police.
With police supervision and the owner's permission, a ZooPatrol member broke down the front door. The cat was not found in the rooms; it was hiding on the balcony. Rescuer Dmitry Revnyuk managed to pull it out but could not place it in the carrier. The cat clung to his jacket, clearly frightened.
The cat is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
