The Center for Strategic Defense under the National Security Council opposed the $6,500 payment to Ukrainians proposed by Donald Trump.

The Center for Counteracting Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council stated that yet another case of clickbait has been detected online, featuring a fake news story about an alleged "payment of 6500 UAH to Ukrainians from Donald Trump."

However, as noted by the CCD, there are no official statements or programs for payments to Ukrainians from the newly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump.

"Such disinformation is fabricated to increase reach and attract new audiences on social media and messaging platforms," the Center warns.
