Аргентина покидает ВОЗ: причина.

The President of Argentina, Javier Milei, has made the decision to withdraw the country from the World Health Organization (WHO) due to "deep disagreements in health management."

This was announced during a press conference by the president's spokesperson, Manuel Adorni, as reported by Ambito.

"President Javier Milei has instructed Foreign Minister Gerardo Vertein to withdraw Argentina from the WHO," Adorni stated.

He explained that this decision is driven by "deep disagreements in health management" during the COVID-19 pandemic, which "along with the actions of the former president Alberto Fernández's government, led to the largest quarantine in human history and dependence on the political influence of certain states."

Recall that on January 21, U.S. President Donald Trump signed an order for the country's withdrawal from the WHO.

In addition, he canceled a letter from his predecessor Joe Biden, sent on January 20, 2021, to the UN Secretary-General, which referred to the termination of Trump's order to initiate the withdrawal process of the U.S. from the organization during his first term.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that on the day of Trump's inauguration, the U.S. could withdraw from the WHO. Previously, the newly elected president proposed "anti-vaxxer" Kennedy Jr. for the position of health minister.
