China has issued a statement regarding the resumption of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.

The international community must assist in creating conditions for the resumption of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. In particular, a demonstration of "positive energy" is necessary.

This was stated by the spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lin Jiany, as reported by the Ukrinform agency.

"We believe that the only viable path to resolving the 'crisis' (as it is referred to in China regarding the war in Ukraine) is through dialogue and negotiations. Therefore, the international community must help establish conditions for the resumption of direct negotiations between the two sides of the conflict," he noted.

According to him, to address Russia's aggression in Ukraine, all major powers must demonstrate "positive energy."

"Only when all major powers exhibit positive energy can we hope for a swift ceasefire," Lin asserted.

 What is meant by "positive energy" was not clarified by the spokesperson.
