The Supervisory Board of Ukrenergo has announced a competition for the position of the company's CEO.
The Supervisory Board of NEC "Ukrenergo" has announced a competitive selection for the position of Chairman of the Board of the company.
This was reported by the press service of "Ukrenergo".
The Chairman of the Board will have the following priorities and strategic objectives during the war:
- to ensure the protection of critical energy system elements and the rapid restoration of energy facilities damaged by the war;
- to support the development of distributed generation to enhance the flexibility and resilience of the energy system;
- to create a reserve of critical equipment and ensure its safe storage for quick recovery;
- to restore financial stability and the trust of international financial partners;
- to enhance the network capacity by constructing interconnectors with the EU to increase throughput and permissible marginal flows.
Additionally, the Chairman of the Board is expected to lay the groundwork for the post-war development of the company, specifically:
- to develop a long-term corporate strategy for NEC "Ukrenergo";
- to organize effective efforts to improve the regulatory framework and energy diplomacy with ENTSO-E partner countries;
- to ensure financial stability through cost optimization and increased business efficiency, enhancing access to capital markets and expanding cooperation with international financial organizations.
Candidates must have more than seven years of transformational leadership experience in senior management positions within the energy sector, industry, or global auditing and consulting firms (Big4, Big3), with expertise in strategy development, corporate restructuring, and change management.
The potential Chairman of the Board must be free from any direct or indirect business interests, professional relationships, or personal connections that could jeopardize their ability to make impartial decisions in the role of Chairman of the Board of NEC "Ukrenergo".

On September 2, 2024, Volodymyr Kudrytsky was dismissed from the position of Chairman of "Ukrenergo". The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of NEC "Ukrenergo", Daniil Dobbeny, and its member Peder Andreasen described this decision as politically motivated and announced the early termination of their powers.
Later, Oleksiy Brekht was appointed as the acting Chairman of "Ukrenergo".
In December, the Cabinet approved the new composition of the Supervisory Board of the company.
