Новые эстонские зенитные ракеты будут испытаны в боевых условиях на Украине.

The Estonian defense startup Frankenburg Technologies will begin testing the Mark 1 surface-to-air missiles on the battlefield in Ukraine starting in 2025.

This was reported by the Estonian broadcaster ERR.

The main innovation is that these missiles are equipped with artificial intelligence for autonomous targeting and are capable of intercepting Iranian Shahed drones at altitudes of up to 2 km.

It is reported that production will start with several dozen units per week and will increase to hundreds of missiles weekly by the third quarter of next year.

Additionally, it is noted that the tests aim to confirm the system's effectiveness in real combat conditions.

Frankenburg Technologies gained recognition after being mentioned in Bloomberg, which named the company one of the four most promising in Europe. The company is implementing new technologies to support Europe’s defense industry amid rising defense budgets and the threat of possible isolation from the U.S.
