The president of the Bolivian football club called the $1 million deal with Shakhtar "historic."

Marcelo Claure, the president of the Bolivian football club "Bolívar," has announced the sale of one of the club's players.

The buyer will be Donetsk's "Shakhtar," which has reached an agreement for the transfer of 19-year-old Diego Arroyo.

"I am extremely pleased to announce the historic deal for the sale of young Bolivian footballer Diego Arroyo for $1 million to the best club in Ukraine – 'Shakhtar.' This is the result of our player development project, which employs the world's most advanced methodology from City Football Group," Claure stated.

"Shakhtar" has yet to announce the signing of the newcomer.

It is worth noting that Arroyo could become the second Bolivian in the history of the Donetsk club. From 2008 to 2011, the all-time top scorer of the Bolivia national team, Marcelo Moreno, was under contract with the "miners."
