Ukraine ranks fourth in the EU for startup support, according to the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
Ukraine ranked fourth among 24 EU countries in terms of startup support, surpassing the average European indicator by 12%.
This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, citing the 2024 report from the European Startup Nations Alliance.
The ranking evaluates how effectively countries create conditions for the development and scaling of tech companies.
“Ukraine joined the ESNA initiative in November 2024 – and has already shown impressive results: we ranked fourth among 24 EU countries in startup support, exceeding the European average by 12%,” the statement reads.
Ukraine received maximum points for implementing the following standards:
- Speed of online business creation. “Opening a business in just a few minutes is no longer a dream, but a reality thanks to Diia,” emphasized the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
- Access to funding. The Ukrainian Startup Fund has been recognized as a model of effective startup support policy. The fund has already issued 570 grants totaling 423 million UAH to launch breakthrough tech companies and foster Ukrainian innovations.
- Availability of digital public services. Ukraine is creating the most convenient ways to conduct business online, so Ukrainians can “forget about queues and piles of paperwork.”
- Options and favorable taxes – Ukraine has a legal and tax framework for tech companies under “Diia.City.” Among the many advantages, residents have access to tools for attracting investment.
