In Dnipro, temporary changes to public transport operations will remain in effect starting December 25, 2024, due to extensive repairs to the tram crossing at the intersection of Lesya Ukrainka Avenue and Battalion Dnipro Boulevard. This was reported by "Vidomo," citing the Dnipro City Council.
The repair work involves the dismantling of emergency structures at the square, significantly impacting the city's transport scheme. To ensure uninterrupted, albeit altered, public transport services, the authorities have developed temporary routes for several lines.
Tram routes No. 5 and No. 12: They will continue to operate along their full routes but will be required to detour onto Mykola Rudenko Street towards Stepan Bandera Street. This detour will help avoid the closed crossing. Passengers should anticipate an increase in travel time.
Tram route No. 17: This route is temporarily suspended. This is due to the fact that this route is the most affected by the repair work at the crossing. Alternative routes to reach the endpoints of route No. 17 will be displayed on information boards at the stops.
Trolleybus route No. 4: It will follow a modified route towards Soborna Square: 128th Brigade of Territorial Defense Street – Dmytro Yavornytskyi Avenue, and then continue on its usual route.
Trolleybus route "A": It will travel towards the Heroes of Maidan Square along the route: Lesya Ukrainka Avenue – 128th Brigade of Territorial Defense Street – Dmytro Yavornytskyi Avenue, and then proceed on its regular route.
Bus routes No. 40, No. 87A, No. 109: From the Railway Station, these routes will take a detour: Stepan Bandera Street – Volodymyr Antonovych Street – Oleksandr Polya Avenue – Lesya Ukrainka Avenue, and then continue on their routes. A temporary stop has been established at the intersection of Volodymyr Antonovych Street and Oleksandr Polya Avenue for passenger convenience.
Bus routes No. 32, No. 33, No. 73: From the Railway Station, these routes will go straight down the street to the "Lesya Ukrainka Avenue" stop, bypassing the closed section, and then continue on their routes. This is the shortest detour for these routes.
Bus route No. 32K: It will follow a detour: Stepan Bandera Street – Volodymyr Antonovych Street – right turn onto Oleksandr Polya Avenue. It will use the same temporary stop as routes No. 40, No. 87A, and No. 109.
Bus routes No. 7K and No. 101: There will be a temporary traffic restriction on Dmytro Yavornytskyi Avenue near house 108.
Bus route No. 86: There will be a temporary traffic restriction on 128th Brigade of Territorial Defense Street near house 2. Specific route changes should be confirmed through official sources.
