On the night of Monday, January 27, the Russian army launched an attack on Ukrainian territory using strike drones. Explosions were also reported in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

This information comes from RBK-Ukraine, citing the Telegram channel of the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, Svitlana Onyshchuk, and the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Marczinkiv, on Facebook.

According to Onyshchuk, a series of explosions occurred in Prykarpattia that night. The enemy attacked the region multiple times using strike drones, targeting critical infrastructure facilities. As of 08:00, there were no reports of casualties.

However, a fire was recorded at one of the strike locations, and relevant services are currently on-site.

"Thank you to the air defense forces for their protection and to everyone involved in mitigating the consequences of enemy attacks. Once again, I urge residents of the region not to ignore 'air raid' signals and to take care of their own safety," she wrote.

At the same time, Marczinkiv clarified that the Russians targeted both the Ivano-Frankivsk region and the city itself.

"First and foremost, thank you to our air defense, the men and women who protect us. Thank God, everything is fine. The enemy launched a large-scale attack both on the region and attempted to strike the community. But thanks to the air defense efforts, there were preliminarily no damages to civilian property," he reported.

According to preliminary data, there are no casualties. A total of 58 rescuers and 25 units of the State Emergency Service equipment were involved on-site.
