Occupiers launched an assault on Ukrainian defenses in Bilohorivka, resulting in the destruction of several positions.

The Russian army has intensified its assaults on two fronts. In the Severodonetsk direction, the Ukrainian defenses in Bilohorivka were attacked.

According to military sources, in the Lyman direction, Russian forces stormed our positions in the areas of Nadiya, Kopanky, Novohehorivka, in Makiyivka and Terny.

Meanwhile, in the Severodonetsk direction, our fortifications in Bilohorivka were attacked. As a result of assault operations and fire impact, some of our positions were destroyed. Measures are being taken to prevent a deterioration of the tactical situation.

The situation on other fronts

In the Kharkiv direction, over the past 24 hours, the enemy unsuccessfully attacked our positions in Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted assault operations in the areas of Kolesnykivka, Holubivka, and Zahryzovo. To increase efforts and move personnel towards Petropavlivka and Zelenyi Hai, the enemy used armored vehicles. As a result of triggering engineering obstacles and fire damage inflicted by our units, three tanks, three armored personnel carriers, and one infantry fighting vehicle were destroyed. Two more armored personnel carriers were damaged.

In the Kramatorsk and Toretsk directions, the enemy concentrated its offensive efforts in the areas of Diliivka and Toretsk. They did not achieve success.

In the Pokrovsk direction, enemy attacks were directed at our positions in the areas of Myrolyubivka, Baranivka, Yelyzavetivka, Zelenyi, Kotlyne, Nadiivka, in Lisovka, Dachne, Shevchenko, and Yasenove. The defense forces are holding back the enemy's pressure, which is trying to exploit its numerical advantage and continue the offensive.

In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy is conducting assault actions in the area of Kurakhove and towards Dachne and Yantarnyi. Efforts continue to identify and eliminate enemy assault groups attempting to infiltrate our combat formations.

In the Vremivka direction, the enemy continues to accumulate forces for further attacks. Over the past 24 hours, they attacked our fortifications in the areas of Novosilka, Konstantynopil, and towards Konstantynopil: they did not succeed, and a deterioration of the tactical situation was prevented.

It is worth noting that according to the General Staff, over the past 24 hours, on January 8, there were 192 combat engagements along the front line. The enemy launched the most attacks in the Kursk region.
