Russians are continuously spreading information about an alleged breach of the Ukrainian border in the Sumy region. However, the Defense Forces are maintaining their positions and are prepared for potential infiltration attempts by enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRGs).

As reported by RBK-Ukraine, this was stated by Ivan Shevtsov, the head of the press service of the 15th mobile border detachment "Steel Border," during a telethon.

According to him, Russian propaganda claims that the border has allegedly been breached in the Sumy region to instill fear in Ukrainians - but there has been no breach.

He noted that such information is disseminated at least once a week. The occupiers create fake reports to destabilize the situation within the country. However, not a single instance of this has been confirmed, and there is no evidence of any preparations for a breach at the state border.

Nevertheless, there still exists the possibility of enemy DRGs infiltrating, as the natural and weather conditions allow for it, but border guards are always ready to confront the occupiers.

"When discussing the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, the terrain here is such that there are many swamps and forests, which hinders the advance of troops into Ukrainian territory. However, this facilitates the operations of DRGs, which is why border guards are constructing fortifications and mining the area to prevent enemy DRGs from penetrating the rear of our state. Typically, DRGs prepare for specific weather conditions, such as heavy rain, fog, or intense snowfall. This is when reconnaissance drones cannot fly, visibility is poor, and it is the best time for scouts to operate," noted Shevtsov.

Russian DRGs at the Border

It is worth reminding that recently the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that Russian occupiers are attempting to expand their sphere of influence in the Kharkiv region. Attempts by enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups to infiltrate continue, but their activity has decreased lately.

Prior to this, it was reported that Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian DRG in northern Ukraine. The Armed Forces of Ukraine encountered Russians almost face-to-face.
