The Center for Counteracting Disinformation commented on the information that appeared in Russian media regarding a possible powerful strike on Dnipro, as reported by "Vidiomo".
"Russian propaganda is spreading information about allegedly preparing a 'powerful strike' on Ukrainian 'call centers' and claims plans to use new North Korean ballistic missiles to shell Kyiv. The threat of missile strikes exists 24/7 since the first day of the full-scale invasion. The aggressor does not provide prior notice of attacks, and such reports serve as a tool to increase panic among the population," the CPD statement reads.
It is emphasized that it is important not to ignore air raid signals.
"Therefore, it is advisable to continue monitoring official sources and, in case of danger, head to shelters. We also ask representatives of Ukrainian resources that picked up this news to approach the dissemination of such information thoughtfully, as this could unconsciously play into the hands of the aggressor in its campaign of fear," the CPD notes.
