The SSO eliminated a Russian execution squad and captured those responsible for the execution of Territorial Defense fighters.

Units of the Special Operations Forces eliminated part of the execution group of the Russian army. These Russians had executed Ukrainian soldiers just the day before.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Telegram channel of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

What preceded this

According to the Special Operations Forces, Russian troops executed two fighters from the Territorial Defense Forces, whom they had captured several days earlier in one of the areas.

Afterward, one of the units of the Special Operations Forces meticulously planned an operation to eliminate this enemy group and recover the bodies of the Ukrainian soldiers.

Special Operations Forces Operation

During the execution of the operation, the Special Operations Forces fighters eliminated part of the execution group and forced others to surrender. The captured Russians were marines from the 40th Arctic Brigade. During interrogation, they admitted to capturing two soldiers from the Territorial Defense Forces and reporting this to their company commander.

The company commander then ordered the Russians over the radio to execute the Ukrainian soldiers. The Territorial Defense fighters heard this and began to flee, but they were immediately fired upon by Russian troops with call signs "Yary," "Lebed," "Boom," and "Bely."

The last three were eliminated by the Special Operations Forces during the special actions, while "Yary," along with two others, was captured. All the captives turned out to be contract soldiers who had served in the Russian army for just a month and a half.

It is worth noting that just a few days ago, Ukraine returned another 25 of its citizens from Russian captivity. Subsequently, it became known that Ukraine was able to establish a separate format for prisoner exchanges, prioritizing the release of individuals with severe injuries and illnesses.

And yesterday we reported that Ukrainian fighters in the Kursk region captured 27 Russian soldiers. Among them were, in particular, officers.
