In Germany, a court has sentenced 37-year-old Moldovan citizen Andrei P. to life imprisonment. He was found guilty of murdering 9-year-old Ukrainian Valeria.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Bild.

The court ruled that the crime was particularly serious. This means that early release after 15 years of imprisonment is virtually impossible.

The man was the former partner of Valeria's mother. Just a few days before the horrific crime, the woman ended her relationship with him.

Murder of the Young Ukrainian Girl

Recall that in June of last year, 9-year-old Ukrainian Valeria went missing in Germany after arriving there with her mother following the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. She was supposed to take the bus she used for school, but she did not attend school that day.

The girl was searched for nine days. Law enforcement discovered her body in a forest near the town of Debeln in Saxony.

The main suspect became the former partner of the murdered girl's mother - Moldovan Andrei P.

He was arrested in Prague 11 days after the murder. Subsequently, the man was extradited to Germany.

According to German media reports, the man strangled the girl.
