A warehouse in the Russian Federation that stored components for Shahed-136 drones has been destroyed. The estimated losses for Russia amount to around 16 million dollars.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Telegram.
"A warehouse in the 'Alabuga' economic zone in Russia caught fire, where parts for Shahed-136 drones, used by the aggressor to strike Ukraine, were stored," the GUR stated.
It is known that the facility contained 65 fuselages of strike drones, as well as engines, navigation systems, and thermal imaging cameras for the production of 400 Shahed-136 units—all of which were destroyed in the fire.
"The mysterious and destructive fire dealt another blow to the military-industrial complex of terrorist Russia," the intelligence agency noted.
As a reminder, according to media reports, a Russian factory in 'Alabuga' planned to produce 6,000 strike drones of the Shahed type annually. By the end of April this year, it had already exceeded its production schedule, delivering 4,500 drones.
Additionally, at the beginning of April, the GUR stated that Ukrainian defenders would continue to target military facilities in Russia following strikes in Tatarstan. Their operational radius will be expanded.
A few days prior, a source from RBK-Ukraine in the special services revealed that the GUR organized an operation in which a strike was carried out on the factory assembling 'Shahed' kamikaze drones. This facility is located in the city of Yelabuga (Tatarstan).
