The Russian army attempted to break into the city of Kupiansk today. Their assault was repelled.
This is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Telegram from the head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation, Andrey Kovalenko.
"The Russian army indeed made an attempt to break through in Kupiansk today. Several units of equipment and infantry attempted the breakthrough and were destroyed by our forces," Kovalenko wrote.
According to him, such assaults have become a common practice for the Russians. The occupiers are trying to penetrate residential areas or the outskirts. They land troops there and attempt to establish a foothold until reinforcements arrive.
"Our warriors performed well today," Kovalenko noted.
Earlier, we reported that at the beginning of November, a group of Russian occupiers likely broke into Kupiansk. However, their attack was repelled by Ukrainian forces.
Later, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Anatoliy Bargilevich, assured that Ukrainian forces repelled all attacks on Kupiansk and that there is currently no threat to the city.
